The Schwaggin’ Wagon was a well publicized example of Social Media and in action. In less than 10 days an ad-hoc collaboration of new-age marketers put together a comprehensive marketing campaign that results in a huge success. The Schwaggin’ Wagon’s combined blogging, social networking, new media, guerrilla/street marketing, trade show marketing, and blog relations (think PR for blogs). It must be noted that expect for a press –release that produced zero results Schwaggin’ Wagon did not spend any time or money on “traditional advertising. “ We did not purchase ads of any kind, sponsored links, banner ads, etc. We relied on 100% social media. The results were amazing. Not only did we accomplish our task of collected unwanted schwag to donate to charity, but we meet with some of the top players at the expo and received a tremendous amount of media attention for all those involved.

Wifi in Bars

December 13, 2007

Why drink coffee and surf the web when you can have a martini and visits your favorite sites. Being connected is more important then ever. Soon you will be able to connect at your local pub.

Night Club & Bar Magazine in their recent article, Why Fi? suggest that bars provide free wireless. It is a half-backed idea, for no more reason then the bars and clubs are not set up for as a comfortable laptop environment. What is needed is a bar that is built around the concept, just as Panera Bread built its sandwich restaurant/bakery around the WiFi/”Mobile User” experience.
